Substantial Issuer Bid Dividend Notification
All dividends deemed to be paid by AuRico Gold Inc. in connection with the Substantial Issuer Bid to Canadian residents are designated as "eligible dividends" pursuant to subsection 89(14) of the Income Tax Act (Canada) and for purposes of any corresponding provincial or territorial income tax legislation. Unless stated otherwise, all dividends paid (or deemed to be paid) by AuRico Gold Inc. hereafter are designated as "eligible dividends" for the purposes of such rules.
